La actividad se desarrolla junto a la Subsecretar\u00eda de Deportes, recreaci\u00f3n y turismo social, conforme a lo establecido por la Ley Provincial N\u00b0 2561, que regula el ejercicio profesional de los guardavidas en la Provincia de La Pampa. Defensa Civil, como autoridad de aplicaci\u00f3n, tiene entre sus funciones el registro, habilitaci\u00f3n y control de quienes desempe\u00f1an esta tarea en lagunas, balnearios, colonias de vacaciones, clubes y otros espacios p\u00fablicos o privados donde se desarrollen actividades acu\u00e1ticas.El objetivo principal de la rev\u00e1lida es evaluar la idoneidad, el estado f\u00edsico y la actualizaci\u00f3n de conocimientos de los y las profesionales que cumplen funciones en el \u00e1mbito provincial.
